Megan’s Medicine Podcast
Old Medicine. New Conversations.
I almost didn’t make this podcast.
My first reaction when a friend suggested it was: who would listen? Total imposter syndrome. Who am I to have a show?
But she stopped me. She said: when I think of a healer, when I think of a mother, when I think of love, I think of you. And if she believed I had something to share, I had to believe in myself enough to share it.
So I redefined what success looks like. My success is people learning more about Chinese medicine and seeking it for their families. As long as some people listen, I can’t fail.
That is the spirit this podcast was built on.
Megan’s Medicine is where the philosophy lives.
Each episode goes deeper into Chinese medical theory: Daoist thought, yin and yang, the five elements, how to view illness through a Chinese medicine lens instead of a biomedical one, and what food, emotion, and lifestyle actually do to the body.
I speak through my experience as a clinician, a mother, a woman who grew up in a completely Western household and found her way to this medicine, and a woman navigating spiritual and mental cultivation every day.
This is not just wellness content. This is a complete education in one of the oldest and most sophisticated medical systems on earth, delivered in language a modern woman can actually hold onto.
A sampling of what we explore:
- The foundations: Daoist philosophy, yin and yang, qi and blood
- The five elements: wood, fire, earth, metal, and water, and what they reveal about your personality, your organs, and your seasons
- How to view common conditions through a Chinese medicine lens
- Chinese dietary therapy: food as your most accessible medicine
- The acupuncture channels and how to work with them at home
- Raising healthy, resilient children with Chinese medicine
- Seasonal living and how to align your body with nature’s cycles
- Mind, body, and spirit as one inseparable system
- Pearls of wisdom from Dr. Jeffrey Yuen, 88th generation Daoist priest
